SK8S Tickets: Terms of Sale
These terms apply to all tickets for events run by SK8S (UK) Limited (“SK8S”, “we”, “us”). By buying a ticket, you agree to them for yourself and for everyone you buy tickets for. If you’re booking for someone under 18, you’re agreeing on their behalf as their parent or guardian, or with their parent or guardian’s permission.
1. Buying tickets
1.1 The only authorised place to buy SK8S tickets is sk8s.biz. We can’t guarantee tickets bought anywhere else, and we may refuse entry to anyone holding a ticket that wasn’t bought from sk8s.biz or that has been copied or resold.
1.2 Tickets are for personal use. They must not be resold for profit or used for promotions or competitions without our written permission.
1.3 Each event listing gives its price, times, venue and any age requirements (for example, adult-only sessions). Please check these before you book.
2. Entry to events
2.1 We reserve the right to refuse entry, or to ask someone to leave, where we reasonably believe it’s needed for the safety or enjoyment of others. This includes anyone who:
- appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
- behaves in an aggressive, abusive or unsafe way;
- ignores instructions from our marshals or staff, or our Event Rules;
- doesn’t meet the age or supervision requirements for the event; or
- is skating on equipment we consider unsafe.
2.2 If we refuse entry or remove someone for any of these reasons, no refund will be given.
2.3 Children aged under 15 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. An adult cannot supervise more than three under 15s.
3. Cancellations and refunds
3.1 If you cancel: If you let us know before the event starts, we will refund your ticket in full. To cancel, email us at enquiries@sk8s.biz or use the contact form at sk8s.biz/contact-us, giving your name and order number.
3.2 If you don’t tell us in advance: If you don’t attend and didn’t tell us before the start of the event, we won’t normally give a refund, because we’ll have held a place for you. We will consider requests where there were extenuating circumstances. Please contact us as soon as you can, and we’ll look at each case fairly.
3.3 If we cancel or change an event: If we cancel an event, you’ll get a full refund. If we move an event to a new date, you can choose to transfer your ticket to the new date or have a full refund.
3.4 Refunds go back to the original payment method, normally within 14 days.
3.5 Tickets are for a leisure event on a specific date, so the standard 14-day cancellation period for online purchases doesn’t apply. Sections 3.1 to 3.3 set out your cancellation rights instead.
4. Skating at your own risk
4.1 Roller skating is a physical activity with an inherent risk of falls and injury. By attending, every skater accepts that they skate at their own risk. Skaters are responsible for skating within their ability and for their own conduct on the rink.
4.2 Skaters must follow our Event Rules and Rink Safety guidance and any instructions from marshals and staff. We strongly recommend protective equipment. Wrist guards are available on request.
4.3 Anyone with a medical condition that may affect their ability to skate safely should take advice before attending.
4.4 We’re not responsible for loss of, or damage to, personal belongings brought to our events, except where that loss or damage is caused by our negligence.
4.5 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
5. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one published on sk8s.biz when you bought your ticket.
