SK8S Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
This policy explains how SK8S (UK) Limited (“SK8S”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you visit sk8s.biz, book tickets, come to our events or get in touch with us.
We are the controller of your personal information. Our address is 15 Newland, Lincoln, England, LN1 1XG. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email us at enquiries@sk8s.biz.
2. What we collect
- Booking details: your name, address, email address and order history. If you book for other people, we also collect the names you give us for them. Please let them know you’ve shared their details with us, and point them to this policy.
- Payment details: card payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We don’t see or store your full card number.
- Your account: if you create an account on sk8s.biz, we store your login details and order history.
- At our events: photos and video (see section 3), and records of any accidents, injuries or incidents, which may include health information about the person involved.
- When you contact us: emails, contact form messages and social media messages, and our replies.
- When you use our website: technical information such as your device, browser and how you use the site, collected using cookies (see section 6).
You don’t have to give us any personal information to browse sk8s.biz. We do need your booking details to sell you a ticket.
3. Photos and video at events
We take photos and video at our events and use them to publicise and promote SK8S events and roller discos, for example on sk8s.biz, our social media and our posters and flyers.
We do this on the basis of our legitimate interests in promoting our business and showing what our events are like. We think this is reasonable because filming is part of a public event, it’s mentioned in our Terms of Sale, and you can opt out easily. We favour crowd and general shots. We won’t use an image that focuses on a child, or name a child, without asking their parent or guardian first.
If you’d rather not appear, just tell us, email enquiries@sk8s.biz with the event date and a description of the photo or clip. We’ll blur or mask you, or remove the image from our channels, and we’ll avoid using images of you in future. This also applies to anyone you booked for. We can’t recall copies that other people have already shared.
Other skaters and spectators may take their own photos and video. We don’t control how they use or share them, and this policy doesn’t cover them.

6. Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use:
- Essential cookies to run the shop, keep your basket and keep you logged in. These include cookies set by Stripe to process payments securely and prevent fraud.
- Analytics cookies to count visits and see which pages are used, so we can improve the site. We only use this information in aggregate, never to identify you or show you adverts.
- Order attribution cookies to record how visitors found our site, for example from a search engine or social media post.
You can accept, reject or change your choices for non-essential cookies at any time using the cookie banner on sk8s.biz. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the shop may not work properly if you do.
7. Who we share it with and where it’s held
We never sell your information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who work for us, such as our payment provider (Stripe), website hosting, email and IT providers, and our accountants and insurers. They can only use your information to do that work for us.
- Venues and emergency services, where needed for safety or after an incident.
- Authorities, where the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety or rights.

No system is completely secure, but if something goes wrong we’ll deal with it promptly and tell you if the law requires it.
If you have an account, please keep your password private.
10. Your rights and complaints
You have the right to:
- get a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that’s wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information, or limit how we use it;

- ask for a copy of information you gave us in a format you can reuse; and
- withdraw your consent to marketing at any time.
To use any of these rights, email enquiries@sk8s.biz. We’ll respond within one month. Some rights have limits; for example, we must keep certain records for legal reasons.
Complaints. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first at enquiries@sk8s.biz. We’ll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it and tell you the outcome. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on sk8s.biz, and we’ll tell you about any significant changes that affect you.
